Welcome to the Friends of Nature Copey Learning Center!

We are a non-profit educational center dedicated to promoting social development through the learning of English as a Second Language.  We offer programs to community members of all ages in the areas of environmental education and cultural development in order to foster social sustainability.

To learn and understand English is an invaluable tool that, for our community, serves two important purposes:

1. The town of Copey, located in a national forest reserve, is quickly becoming a recognized site for rural tourism.  English is therefore, an important tool in assuring sustainability of this industry.
2. Members of Copey who are competent in English will be equipped with a useful skill that will afford them many opportunities in the work force in Costa Rica and elsewhere.
